Basic Tips
We want to present you with a few very important tips that you should know to consciously take care of yourself and your tattoo.
Remember that a healing tattoo should not be submerged in water for a long time. Thus, avoid long baths and swimming pools, and opt for showering instead.
If blisters appear at the tattoo site, you should stop using the cream and allow the skin to peel naturally without removing the scabs, as this could lead to the removal of the color underneath them. Therefore, scabs should fall off on their own, and the tattoo will then remain undamaged.
A tattoo itself is an open wound, so after getting it done, you must approach the entire situation wisely. Ceasing care too early, swimming, sunbathing, using saunas, or even wearing too tight clothing on the tattooed part of the body can cause infection or expose our artwork to color loss.
In the initial period after getting a tattoo, significant physical effort is also strongly discouraged. This is because sweat is acidic, and getting into the wound can cause inflammation and expel some of the pigment, leading to the formation of delicate scars. Therefore, it is worth refraining from sports for about 10 days after getting the tattoo.
In the first few days with a fresh tattoo, you should also avoid consuming alcohol, which, combined with sunbathing and high temperatures, causes blood vessels to dilate significantly. Such a reaction can cause plasma to leak along with the ink and result in patchiness in the tattoo just after it has healed.
